BSM 22

The Klingel Drill Grinding Machine BSM 22 unify both, the centrical pointing and thinning out grinding machine in one.
The machine is suitable for regrinding drills from diameter 2-22 mm.
A special advantage of the machine is all grinding Operations can be effected in one clamping position of the drill and therefore in practical.

The Klingel Drill Grinding Machine BSM 22 is available in two versions:
as a space-saving table machine-type BSM 22 T or alternatively
as a machine with underframe-type BSM 22 incl. wet grinding device.

Core of the machine is the tool carriage with high-precicion hexagon jaw clamping chuck to adapt the drill. The drill has to be adjusted with the heel for clamping. In this manner the best centering and cutting edge symmetry of the drill point is guaranteed.
The center grinding is effected by few revolutions of the rotating drill at which the drill point and clearance angle for different edges 2 or 3 can be selected infinitely very simple.

Without unclamping the thinning out process of the drill can be effected. To that end the clamped drill has to be adjusted through out the overtravel stops to the desired angle-position.
First essential for an exactly position of the central drill point is the right settlement when clamping the tool. These has to be effected through the optical length measuring instrument with a magnification of 20 x. For the centrical point grinding and thinning out must be used two seperate grinding wheels with different drive, at what as grinding wheel is used a read aluminium oxid or CBN wheel.
The feed in and draw back of the complete upper part with the included grinding wheel is done by a rapid traverse equipment. These allows a very efficient grinding process especially when grinding of drills in large quantities.
